Get prepared for your own Festival Season

We´ve brought you a Guide with the places to be this Summer and the extraordinary Dresscode for these Happenings. But if you aren´t familiar with this Stuff, it is also possible to look great when you follow these proper tips below.

How fashion and functionality do not necessarily exclude each other!

Ever since we’ve seen pictures of Kate Moss at the 2006 Glastonbury festival, festival outfits have reached a new dimension. Before, it was all about shabby jeans and old sweaters. Nowadays, we know that we don’t have to look shite if we spend several days at a festival; even if it’s cold and rainy, we sleep in tents and rarely shower (ok, Kate obviously won’t sleep in a tent but in a hotel with warm water, but still…).

And as we’re right in the middle of both this year’s festival- AND summer sale’s-season, it might be about time to stock up on some new festival goodies.

Day One:

Straw Fedora and Cotton Dress: Urban Outfitters. Knitted Cardigan and leather Ankle Boots: Topshop. Necklace: Asos.

The lovely fedora protects your hair and face from rain and sunshine and the leather boots will keep your feet dry, even when it’s muddy (and it always is…).

Day Two:

Floral Cotton Shirt, Denim Shorts, Suede Belt and Suede Studded Bag: Topshop. Hunter Festival Wellingtons: Urban Outfitters.

A spacious, across-body bag is a must at every Festival, as it keeps your arms free for some serious dancing. Wellies are a non plus ultra as well, and therefor legendary brand Hunter created a proper festival collection. However, if you don’t want to spend 145 quid on your wellies, the plain ones from a gardening store near you will do just fine as well. Floral prints always have a real boom during festival season, as they add a little hippie-chic and remind us of the good old Woodstock days…

Day 3:

Studded Leather Jacket: Asos. Madonna T-Shirt and Casio Watch: Urban Outfitters. Denim Mini Skirt: Topshop. Low-Cut Chucks: Converse.

Festivals are quite a dirty business: mud everywhere, people throwing beer on you,… Therefor it is important, to wear clothes which are easy to clean: Denim, Cotton, Leather, Chucks (as long as it’s not raining, they are the perfect shoes for every festival),…
