Guest Blogger of the Month: Ines from Klammerauf.org

In our not so regular Series of Guest Host Blogger, the 19 year old Ines from Klammerauf.org is doing her blogging stuff from Germany. To get to know her, here is a short introduction Interview before she will start soon with her stories.

Introduce yourself to our reader
I’m Ines and I currently live in Cologne. I study communication and media science, I love music, gigs, travelling, web design, writing and the simple pleasures of life.

What was the reason why you´ve started a blog?
People often ask me why I actually do this, why I write about my life and why I put things online. I really like the idea of publishing myself and putting things in a place for others to read and watch. For me it’s also a way of dealing with life. I see the internet as a giant wilderness, there’s lots of stuff out there: inspiring things, complete rubbish, art, porn – and noone is able to comprehend it all. Bloggers act as some kind of filter, they split the internet into small pieces and I love reading blogs of people who see the world the way I do, who have a completely different lifestyle, who do interesting things and live their lives.

What´s it all about in your blog?

I’d say “Lifestyle” – but rather MY lifestyle than lifestyle in general. I’m definitely not a fashion blogger, I don’t care about designers and fashion weeks and I don’t take outfit pictures of myself. But I do love music and I guess I’m blogging about this quite a lot. My blog is my baby and my very personal playground.

But you also have the Website “Theheadhoops.org”, which is about music?
On TheHeadhoops.org (www.theheadhoops.org) we write about music, we do interviews and report from festivals. I’ve always loved writing and our website is a nice outlet for everything music-related and a collective of articles, photos and videos. We are trying to keep it simple, nowadays there’s no #1 source for everything anymore, people follow hundreds of blogs with their feed readers, use as many sources as possible and Google everything – and we’re trying to add something to this.

Any favourite Blogs?

I read many blogs and it’s hard to name favourites. Gala Darling (http://www.galadarling.com) is my daily source for sparkly positive energy and a must-read for everyone. I enjoy reading AMY&PINK (http://www.amypink.com), it’s actually Marcel’s fault I turned my website into a blog about 2 years ago after he encouraged me to do it. some required (http://lu-yi.blogspot.com/) is my favourite place for beautiful photos and for detailed gig reviews at 10am the next morning I check out Konzerttagebuch (http://www.konzerttagebuch.de).

What is your opinion to the “Print vs Online” Controversy?

The music industry and the conventional print journalism have one thing in common: they both don’t understand the internet yet. The internet can be dangerous but it’s not the end, just a new opportunity. In any case, quality journalism should stay quality journalism, no matter if online or offline.

LesMads.de ask other Blogger about seven things they´ll and you also post things which you love regulary at Klammerauf.org. What are your recent things to love?

Lots of silver rings – the only jewellry I wear at the moment, “Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close” by Jonathan Safran foer, making my own smoothies, Tumblr (http://klammerauf.tumblr.com), Frank Turner (http://www.myspace.com/frankturner) – the most amazing singer-songwriter on this planet, polaroids, the summer festival lifestyle.

What can we expect from you as our Guest Blogger of the Month?
I don’t even know that myself. Random ramblings, dirty things, pretty things, …

And your future plans?
I’m going to graduate university next year which means I will have the possibility to go everywhere I want. There are so many places I want to see, so many things I want to do, I’m always restless and I just wasn’t made for settling down.
