Open. End. Wurst.

“Everything has an end, only the sausage has two”. We all know this quotation, but now a new mystery has been coming up recently, challening us to think about this potential nonsense again. Why? The scientists from renowned laboratory Wurstsalon have found out, that there’s a type of sausage with an open end. Is this some kind of perpetuum mobile? Can we feed the world with this mindblowing research result?

Who cares, let’s party. I’ll show you what to do on Dec 31th.

Catapulting us into the last year of the first decade of the first century of the second millenium after someone called Christ: Hamburg based Traum Schallplatten releaser, Hi Freaks brainiacs and Suchtreflex masterminds Piemont, honouring the last day of this year with a live and a DJ set. Headlining the Minimal/Techhouse stage, they’ll bring finest Mnml Techno from north Germany to Vienna’s hellkitchen and pleasure the dancy crowd with destructive tunes like my favourite track Etage Superior.

The Electro stage is gonna leaded by no unknown names for Vienna party people. Swiss mashup combo Ponybomb, who have played at the Badeschiff only 4 weeks ago, will bring us some Zürich ghettostyle tunes – must have made a blast impact on the Wurstsalon guys. The crew consists of Suit, Marquis and Postman, who describe themselves as “giving you an unique flavour of Electro, Powerpop and Minimalelectrotek, spiced up with Soul, Funk and HipHop”.

One artist, I’m desperately looking forward to, has roughed up Berlin’s underground techno scene recently in quite a showable way. He is resident at the Club Renate, a location you – like me – may haven’t heard about before, but after listening to his latest three part liveset (see his Myspace), this man has definitely won my heart. Johannes Froehlich will play a 6(!)-hour set, I predict some excursions into mental outer space, as his damn mixture of Ketahouse, drifty Tech and frickly Minimal isn’t a thing for everybody.

Power from Graz this time comes from our favourite riot girls ETEPETETE, who’ll once again prove they’rent named “female power collective” for no reason. Defending the Viennese pride of course Mr. Wurstsalon resident Friedrich Locke and >10 recently announced acts – the whole scene armada will spill its wine, see some lines below.
