Muse took over Giants

With a mind blowing Show, U2 came back to New York on Wednesday . Afterwards, they announced their Europe 2010 Tour which bring them to Vienna & Munich in August. But last Night, I wasn´t at the Gaints Stadium for U2. I was there because of the Support Act, Muse.

And it isn´t that easy when you are a Support Act for U2. Around 7pm, when they came on stage, the Stadium was a bit empty. Ok, it´s New Jersey, which means that it took some time from NYC to the Giants Stadium and employees just left their Work.  But it was great that the Sun was down so Muse got the Chance to use the full Lights to create an incredible Atmosphere.

Opening with “America” (sure, that song from “West Side Story”) Muse played 50 Minutes, looked a bit nervous because of supporting U2, but that doesn´t matter at all. With “The Resistance”, “Undisclosed Desires”, “Uprising” & “United States of Eurasia”, they´ve played 4 New Songs, which is great because I really love their new Album and was full of hope to see & hear “The Resistance”.  Only Problem is, that their Live Version of “Undisclosed Desires” is a bit weird. It sounds much better on the Album.

Like I said above, the Stadium was a bit empty due their Show. But I some people around me meant things like “Who are they? I haven´t known them before, but they are amazing”. Only when Muse started with “Starlight” the so called “aha” effect came in;) And trust me, with “Undisclosed Desires”, Muse will have their first No.1 Single.

Over all, it was a great Sneak Peak for their Headline tour and probably we will see them as Headliner in the Giants one day. By the way, the guys are No.1 in the World and sold 479.000 Records in the first Sale Week. Congrats!

And U2? Simply astonishing. Not as good as in Europe in Summer, but still great. By the way, they´ve just announced loads of European Dates for 2010.

I had never heard of Muse until I saw them on the MTV Music awards show on TV. They are a british band and they performed live on the MTV Video awards show and I thought they were awesome.
