Ringstrassen Galerien Awards 2010 by Not Just a Label

The 7th edition of the Vienna Ringstrassen-Galerien Designer Award – Following the tracks of the great Coco Chanel. And what could be better than a take on the Grand Dame of Fashion?

Since 2004 – always in the month of April, the Ringstrassen-Galerien become the centre stage to one of the highlights of the Austrian Fashion Year: The elegant Shopping Mall awards the much sought–after Austrian Design Award, called the Ringstrassen-Galerien Designer Award. Young talented designers will get the opportunity to present their creative work to a greater audience.

The theme for 2010 is “Black And White”, and was inspired by Coco Chanel’s famous quote: “I said that black goes with everything. White also. They have absolute beauty. It is the perfect match.” This year’s theme will challenge national and international designer to create cutting-edge designs. A renowned expert jury will choose the 8 finalists, focusing on implementation of the theme, the choice of fabrics and the manufacture of the design. The finalists’ submitted outfits will be exhibited at the Ringstrassen-Galerien from April 4th until April 21st 2010 and the winner will be presented from April 22nd until May 1st 2010 at the same premises.

THEME: “Black And White”

STYLES: One complete outfit

DESCRIPTION: “I said that black goes with everything. White also. They have absolute beauty. It is the perfect match.” Coco Chanel. The interpretation and composition of the theme rests with the designer.

SELECTION CRITERIA: Implementation of the theme, quality, choice of fabrics and manufacture of the design.

You can submit your design as a
- Sketch, drawing or photograph of outfit
- Description of the design and fabrics/materials used
- Patterns of the design (optional)

And don´t forget to add:
- Overview / Look Book of current collection to be shown in Vienna
- Designer bio, press releases, look books & picture material (high resolution 300dpi)
- Personal data, such as address, email and mobile no.
